Both sides are struggling for form with West Brom losing 3 in a row and with Blackburn having gone 4 games without a win.

West Brom have scored just 1 and conceded 9 in their last three league games and have been defending very badly; Newcastle are not playing too well of late, but they were not under too much threat in their 2-1 win at home to the Baggies.

Blackburn put in a decent performance against Villa (2-3) and there are signs that they are improving under Paul Ince after a unexceptional start to the season; their strikers have not been performing (with no player scoring more than 2 goals this season), but they will be given plenty of opportunities to correct that against an uninspiring West Brom defence.

Unless things change soon, West Brom will be struggling to survive on current form; Blackburn have more quality throughout their squad and should be able to take this one – the $2.90 offered at William Hill looks good.
