Arsenal drew 0-0 at home to Fenerbache midweek, failing to score against the side that they thrashed 5-2 in Istanbul two weeks ago, perhaps showing how recent injuries and results have affected their form.
In their two previous league games, Arsenal threw away a 4-2 lead at home to arch-rivals Spurs (to draw 4-4) and lost 1-2 at promoted-side Stoke last weekend and with injuries to key players Adebayor, Gallas, Walcott and Eboue, Arsenal do not look ideally prepared going into this important game against the champions.

Man Utd managed to salvage a late equaliser at Celtic to draw 1-1, but they dominated the game and were unfortunate not to win; they have now gone 10 games unbeaten and Alex Ferguson is likely to have had one eye on this fixture and he started without Berbatov, Rooney, Evra and Neville – a stronger side will start the game in North London.
Man Utd have won the last two meetings between the sides, both at Old Trafford and though they have only won once in London in their last 4 meetings in the capital, in the sides’ last 11 meetings home and away, Man Utd lead with a record of 6-3-2 in 90 minutes.
Ferguson’s side are favourites for this game at an average of $2.31, with Arsenal’s injury problems and lack of discipline in taking games of late the main reasons for the price.
The loss of Adebayor may be key to Man Utd’s hopes of taking the win here, and when the Togo striker did not start against West Ham and Fenerbahce, Arsenal looked toothless up front; the Gunners will have to rely on Bendtner, as Van Persie is suspended and goals may be hard to come by.
Man Utd look stronger going into this game and at a best price of $2.38 from Paddy Power, the away win could be the option.
