Premiership league table

Bolton's rise up to the table to 9th has been courtesy of a 1-0 away win last weekend at Hull and their home win over Manchester City before that.

Bolton, who were bottom of the table two weeks ago, shouldn't be too pleased with themselves, though. They still look short in key areas and Gary Megson will be back under pressure before too long.

Their win over Hull last weekend was mostly thanks to keeper Jaaskelainen who was in outstanding form. He has been the club's best player over the last ten years and he does turn in fantastic performances regularly, but they can't always rely on the Finn.

Their win against Man City was a little better all round, but they are taking on a Liverpool side who may well feel that this is one of their best chances in years to challenge for the title.

Liverpool lost 2-4 at Spurs in the Carling Cup on Wednesday, but it was very much an under-strength side and nothing should be read into that performance or result.

Liverpool won 3-0 against West Brom last week and they have now won six from seven games in the Premiership.

With Torres back in the side, they should be able to continue their good work and even in the game they lost in the league (1-2 at Spurs) they would have been worthy winners and they can fully expect to create a number of chances again on Saturday.

Liverpool are only $1.65 to win the game and prices like this have to be approached with caution.

Instead, there appears to be better value looking at the Handicap.

Liverpool have been successful this season, but have hardly crushed teams. 7 of their 9 Premiership wins have been by the one goal. Including Champions League games, it's 8 from 11.

For Bolton's part, 3 of their 6 defeats have been by the single goal and with a little extra confidence after their two recent wins they won't be completely outplayed at the weekend and a single goal may decide it.
