PORTSMOUTH v NEWCASTLE UNITED
Date: Sunday 14th December
Time: 13.30 GMT
Competition: Premiership
Portsmouth drew 1-1 last week at West Brom; Crouch's goal took his league tally to seven, the same as his strike partner, Jermain Defoe.
Pompey are up in 7th and are unbeaten in five Premiership games, having drawn their last three. However, their European campaign is now over, thanks to a couple of naive displays, losing two late goals to draw against Milan and a 2-3 defeat at Wolfsburg.
Given they lost 0-3 at Braga as well, there are some defensive concerns that will occupy new coach Tony Adams in the coming months.
They take on a Newcastle side with defensive problems of their own. Two early Michael Owen goals put them in control against Stoke last week, but a shocking second-half saw them draw 2-2, their fourth such scoreline this season.

The good work and confidence from goalless draws at Middlesbrough and Chelsea may well be undone with those last 45 minutes and coach Joe Kinnear will face a tough next six months.
The plus side, though, is that they have only lost the one game in seven, but with one point for a draw they do need to start picking up victories.
Portsmouth are 4-2-2 at home, but all wins have been against bottom-half sides. Newcastle are still to win on the road and have posted a 0-4-4 record so far.
Newcastle will have a chance in this game with Portsmouth only managing one clean sheet in the last 11 games.
Portsmouth have drawn 2-2 in two of their last five games whilst winning 3-2 and losing 3-2 in that run.
The Over 3.5 goals has to be an option at $3.50 from Unibet. A safer bet, though, may be Over 2.5 goals at $2.00 with Bet365.
A correct score may tempt a few punters, the best price being $15.00 on the 2-2 score from Stan James.
