Star Player:
The Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic has signed after seven years at Werder Bremen. Whilst not seen as a prolific goalscorer - he scored 49 goals in 150 games for Werder - he has always linked up well with other strike partners and, with Bagayoko and the young Romanian Keseru at the club, he should be able to cause a lot of problems for opposition defences in Ligue 1.

Summary:
The ambition to sign Klasnic suggests Nantes want to put their disappointing last three or so years behind them and make a push to re-establish themselves at least in the mid-table area of Ligue 1. Der Zakarian's success last year and his association with the club ensures Nantes have the men at the club to match those ambitions, though to finish any higher than 8th may be too fanciful. They certainly shouldn't find themselves involved in the relegation battle.
