Both sides were involved in high-scoring games last weekend, Dortmund winning 3-2 at Leverkusen, whilst Bayern let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 at home to Hamburg.

Dortmund started brightly with a goal within four minutes of the kick-off in each half. Likewise, Bayern started their game well and were two up within 16 minutes.

These two sides have already met this season, four weeks ago in the German Super Cup, Dortmund winning 2-1. Last year, they drew 0-0 in Dortmund in the Bundesliga, though Bayern crushed them 5-0 in Munich. They met also in the DFB Pokal Final with Bayern only winning after extra-time. In all, Bayern have won only once in their last six visits to the Westfalenstadion.

Bayern's firepower might be expected to be diminished somewhat with a few injuries (Demichelis, Ribery, Sagnol and possibly Podolski) but they are expecting to have Luca Toni back and Tim Borowski is fit again. Dortmund's defence - and Bayern coach Klinsmann's emphasis on attack - should see a goal or two past Ziegler.

But don't discount goals at the other end as well. The Egyptian Mohamed Zidan signed in midweek from Hamburg where he scored just two goals last season. However, Dortmund's coach Jurgen Klopp got the best out of the striker at Mainz, hitting 22 goals in 41 games for the relegation-battling club.

Bayern's overall class may see them run out winners, but they don't look strong enough to back;

With 80,000 fans behind the home tem, their recent home record against the champions, Dortmund's busy start to games this season, the reuniting of Zidan with Klopp, Bayern's concerns defensively already this season and the confidence-boosting win over Bayern in the Super Cup, suggest that a First Team to Score bet might be worth considering.
