Stuttgart are up in 9th now after winning their last two in the Bundesliga, last week 3-0 at Cottbus and a home 2-0 win over Schalke the week before.
Ex-Bayern defender Markus Babbel took over after Armin Veh was sacked following the 1-4 defeat at Wolfsburg.
His first couple of weeks have gone well; those two victories plus a respectable 1-1 draw at Sampdoria in the UEFA Cup.
This will be his biggest test, though, against former Bayern and Germany teammate Jurgen Klinsmann who's in the Bayern hotseat.

Bayern are second in the league following their 2-1 win over Hoffenheim last week. They have now won 8 and drawn 1 of their last 9 league games and only once have they failed to score at least two goals in a game.
At the same time, though, they have kept just two clean sheets in that time and that is a concern and will need fixed if they wish to challenge for both the Bundesliga and Champions League.
In midweek, they continued their goalscoring form and defensive slip-ups with a 3-2 win away at Lyon in the Champions League. However, they stormed into a three goal first-half lead with a masterclass.
Toni, Klose and Ribery are all looking sharp, but they let the French side back into the game and were fortunate to end up winning.
Bayern are possibly worried by a resurgent Stuttgart team who are looking more of a team under Babbel. They've been making noises about buying Mario Gomez in the summer and that may be slightly unsettling for the Swabian side.
However, the German striker is not likely to return after injury a couple of weeks ago and with a six week winter break, Babbel will probably think it safer not to risk Gomez and they did manage to score three last week without him.
Bayern have scored 37 goals this season and have been a real threat in recent weeks, but Stuttgart's players have coped well with the Bavarian side in the past few seasons at the Daimler-Gottlieb Stadion.
Stuttgart have managed to win three of their past five home games against Bayern.
