Inter remain top of Serie A after last week's last-gasp 1-0 win over Udinese at the Giuseppe Meazza. Mourinho's team have not been firing on all cylinders of late but they are managing to keep their heads above water.

They top the table with a 7-3-1 record, but have scored just 17 goals. They have, though, conceded just the 7.

Away from Milan, Inter are 3-2-0 (their sole defeat was the away game at AC Milan) and with the last minute goal against Udinese and the last minute goal at Reggina, they are grinding out the results.

However, Inter have often been in control of games but with a failure to take their chances, they have been in left feeling nervous in most of their games with late goals necessary or the need to defend their single goal lead.

There are concerns for Mourinho and this upcoming game shouldn't be taken lightly.

Palermo are 10th with a 5-1-5 record and their last game was the 0-1 away defeat at Torino.

Davide Ballardini's team have now lost three of their last five, but at home in Sicily they are 4-0-1, losing to Fiorentina, but they have scored in each of those home games.

Their record on the island is not particularly impressive though in recent seasons; the last two years (when they finished 11th and 8th), they had a record that read 17-7-11, not great for a team in that position and whilst Inter drew 0-0 last year, they won on the island the year before that.

Inter will face tougher challenges in the months ahead and they should be strong enough to take this game.

Six of Inter's nine Serie A and Champions League wins this season have been by the single goal margin and whilst the team looks a little lacklustre, another single goal victory can't be discounted.

The increased odds (available at $3.50) makes the Handicap Draw (Palermo +1 goal) perhaps a safer bet than the straight Inter win, available at around $1.90.

An away win at those odds might be taken for 6 or 7 points, but with Inter not convincing that can't be recommended. Instead, for 3 to 3.5 points, the handicap draw does appeal more.

Inter are not in the habit of scoring a bucket-full of goals and Palermo, content in mid-table, are rarely overrun at home.
